Training - CPR/AED Recertification

January 31, 2026

Cheltenham firefighters took the annual CPR/AED recertification class this week. Firefighters recertified on CPR/AED practices for adults, children and infants, including solo, multi-rescuer, and firefighter rescue.

CPR/AED training is critically important because it equips emergency personnel, as well as bystanders, with the skills to double or triple survival chances for someone in sudden cardiac arrest, especially since most arrests happen at home, and provides confidence to act in emergencies, potentially saving a life. It's a fundamental life skill that can prevent escalation of injury, support recovery, and is often required for various professions, turning everyday people into potential lifesavers.
