Please check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors monthly. If you do not have both in your home, PLEASE GET THEM TODAY! You should have smoke detectors on every level of your home and near your sleeping area. PLEASE ALSO INSTALL CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS. CO detectors should be about 15 feet from any fuel burning appliance and also near your sleeping area.

If you have an elderly friend or relative, please check their home also. They may not remember to check them or may not be physically able.
