In 2014 the Cheltenham Fire Company began sponsoring a wellness program for its firefighters. Tonight, on Friday the 13th, members participated in an Occupational Assessment Challenge.

This course was designed by "The First Twenty" (wellness program) to help firefighters self-assess which parts of their physical training need development. We watched and were pleasantly surprised as a mix of members from different parts of their careers had great success.

Tim Schuck is a life member and has held just about every position available in the fire service. He powered through and set the bar. Moira Downey-Miller was the first of the group to complete the entire course "on-air" (wearing SCBA) and even had to drag a heavier victim than her counterparts.
