This past Tuesday evening the members of the Cheltenham Fire Company said farewell to past chief and life member Jim Ward. Jim was appointed as a lieutenant at the age of 18 and served as an officer for his entire 20 year active firefighting career. In his final year of active service, Jim served as chief of the company. He continued to support the company and recently supervised the entire building addition and renovation project that took place at the station. He was a friend and mentor to all of us at station 4.

Jim was married to the love of his life, Stephanie. He enjoyed 25 years with her.

All of us at Cheltenham want to extend our heartfelt condolences to Stephanie and the rest of Jim's family. We also want to thank Stephanie for sharing Jim with us. Another awesome person that was taken way too soon. Jim recently turned 60. Rest in Peace Chief, we'll take it from here.
