As spring arrives and we all begin to clean up our yards, please remember that there is an ordinance against burning yard debris. The only open fires permitted are clean, dry wood in an appropriate container (outdoor fireplace, chiminea, fire ring) that is constantly attended. This past week Cheltenham Fire Company had the honor of swearing in our newest firefighter, Kevin Morrissy. Kevin is a third generation volunteer firefighter for our community. His father Keith currently serves as Lieutenant. His uncle Scott serves with both Cheltenham Fire Co as a firefighter and with Oreland Fire Co as an Assistant Chief. No Caption LaMott Fire Company Says Good Bye to Life Member

The LaMott Fire Company announced the passing of long time life member Joe Bates, Sr. Joe served as both Chief and President of LaMott. Both of his sons were also firefighters at LaMott. Cheltenham Fire Company, along with Elkins Park Fire Company, helped honor him at his funeral with a ladder arch. Strong work Joe, we thank you for your dedication and service. Rest in peace.... Cheltenham Participates in 6 abc Save A Life

Deputy Chief Tim Schuck and Chief Engineer Richard Schuck represented Cheltenham Fire Company at this years 6 abc Save A Life event. This event promotes fire safety and helps get smoke detectors out to fire departments throughout our area.
