At 12:26 am on May 4, Cheltenham Fire Company along with neighboring assist companies were dispatched to a house fire. Caller was reporting that they could see flames upstairs. Police arrived on the scene and reported that all occupants were safely out of the house, but there were still pets inside. Police began evacuating pets from the first floor. Apartment Fire in the Early Morning Hours

April 20

At 02:17 hours this morning, Cheltenham Fire Company and multiple assist companies were dispatched to a building fire at Elkins Park Terrace Apartments. There had been multiple calls to 911 reporting heavy smoke on the third floor. On Saturday March 16th at 1:00pm, the Cheltenham Fire Company and family of Frank R. Evans will be honoring the sacrifice that Firefighter Evans made 83 years ago. While selflessly serving the residents of Cheltenham, Firefighter Evans died in the line of duty. We will be unveiling a remembrance plaque that hangs sorrowfully yet proudly in our station.
